After becoming a qualified General Surgeon, Phil spent a further 2 years training in liver, pancreas and bile duct surgery in Singapore and Adelaide. He moved to Darwin in 2016 as there was a clear need in Darwin for a General Surgeon specialised in liver and pancreas surgery. 

He sees patients with: liver cancers (either primary or liver metastasis); bile duct and gallbladder cancers and complex gallstone disease; as well as pancreas cancers and other pancreatic conditions.

He works within an interstate multidisciplinary team of surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists and radiologists.
